About Us/History & Philosophy
Missouri Corporate Credit Union (MCCU) was chartered in December 1976 with a national field of membership, which means credit unions anywhere in the United States can join. Currently, 130 credit unions are members of MCCU, which enables us to provide a high level of personal service to every member. MCCU provides all the things a big corporate provides, but in a more personal setting. We emphasize safety and old-fashioned personal service, not size and scale.
We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding member service, telephone calls answered by human beings, easy access to senior management, patient and professional help, and competitive rates and pricing. Our mission is to help your credit union succeed – it is not on building scale or infrastructure. In fact, we know the last thing you want to do is interrupt your day to deal with a corporate credit union, so we want to be as “invisible” to you as possible. In fact, MCCU earned the Missouri Quality Award, our state’s highest quality honor, in recognition of how we conduct ourselves.
According to our members, this is what they expect of us:
Be Invisible – Help us serve our members but, at the same time, we don’t even want to know you are there. We have too many other things to do, so be “invisible” to us. We don’t want to have to take time to deal with you.
Make it Simple – A cousin to “invisibility.” Keep the processes simple. We don’t have time to conduct complicated tasks.
Be Competitive – You don’t have to pay the highest rates or charge the lowest fees, but you have to be competitive.
Be Sustainable – Don’t offer me a product and then cancel it. Be there when I need you.
