International Services
Missouri Corporate Credit Union offers the following
international payments:
Wires
International wires are a good choice when transferring
money to a company or organization overseas and to individuals
holding accounts at foreign institutions. A wire can
be sent in a foreign currency or in U.S. dollars.
Drafts
Checks or drafts drawn on a foreign institution can
be issued and mailed to any location. Stop payment rules
used in the United States are not applicable on the
drafts. The clearing process is much longer on these
items, and receiving payment back can take several weeks.
But if you want to make sure the payment goes directly
to the hands of the beneficiary rather than through
a foreign bank, a draft is a good choice.
Western Unions
International Western Union is the best way to get
funds quickly to a friend or family member. An International
Western Union is normally available for pick-up within
24 hours. The beneficiary will be paid in the currency
of the country they are in.
When preparing to send an international funds transfer,
you can always contact
a MCCU member service representative for assistance.
We can answer any questions you might have, and assist
you in selecting the best method.
